PVCR-TS STATE GOVERNING BOARD MEMBERS:

 At the helm of the affair of PVCR are various noted people from the sector, who have always played an active role in working for the development of the marginalized communities.

 

B. Esther Manjula Rani, State President from Adilabad is well known for her work with the esthermanjula.jpgmarginalized communities and minorities. Involved with social causes since 1993, she has been striving to bring in gender equality, empower women and work towards overall development of marginalized children. Founder and Chief Executive Officer, of the NGO Rise and Shine, she wears multiple hats. She is the Convenor of the Telangana Dalit women network and member of the juvenile justice Board, Andhra Pradesh. She has also held positions as member of  CWC (child welfare committee) Andhra Pradesh, District level Advisory Board member of prohibition Act, district level Advisory committee on combating trafficking Of women and children for commercial sexual exploitation, member of labor department on eradication of child labor , District Advisory committee  member on youth programme of Nehru YuvaKendram. She was nominated as the Adilabad District gender resource person by Velugu project.

 

Some of the significant awards she has won include the Best social worker award – 2009 conferred by the Karimnagar district collector, The Mother Teresa award – 2011, The True Indian fellow award – 2011.

 

PrathapJerra, State General Secretary was involved in working for child rights and educational gb-prathap.jpgdevelopment of vulnerable communitiessince his college days.As the founder of Janavani, an NGO that fights against oppressionof the marginalized communities, he has been addressing issues such as the impact of SEZ on the poor, caste discrimination and secularism. He has been actively fighting for the rights of the slum dwellers with a focus on the rights of children and is a strong advocate of the common school system.

 

He played a crucial role in protecting and promoting child rights in both Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by coordinating amongst 94 committees of the SamamaVidyaSadanaSamithi.

 

M.NIRMALA JYOTHI, State Joint Secretary’s association with the development sector goes a long gb-nirmala.jpgway. She played an active role in empowering women though self-help groups. She is associated with many organizations in Telanaga State, especially on issues related to single women and the girl child. She is noted for her contribution to issues like child labour and child marriage in Kammam district and was responsible to re enroll 250 child labourers and drop out children to schools. She is the Member of many district and State level Networks - Peoples Monitoring Committee –Kammam District-Secretary, Kammam District Women Network-President, Kammam District Single Women Network-Secretary to name a few.

 

 

 

Vallampatla Abraham, State Vice-President, from Vemulapalli, Nalgonda, is an agriculturist and a gb-abraham.jpgsocial activity.  He has more than 20 years experience in working on people’s issues.  He formed Human Environmental and Peace Propagation Society in 2002. He is a good singer and trained many people in cultural skills.  He trained many teachers on School Management Committee roles and created awareness among many families on the S.C. & S.T. Sub Plans.  He worked as songs Director under Velugu programme in the District.  He played key role in admitting many children from S.C. and S.T. families into higher secondary courses.

 

He has been associated with PVCR since 2007.  He became the District President in 2012 and District Secretary in 2014.  He was actively involved in addressing various child rights issues in Nalgonda District.

 

Shobha Rani Anumandla, State Joint Secretary, is the president of SPANDANA SEVA Society gb-shobharani.jpgHuzurabad, an NGO that undertakes development work in Kareem Nagar district. She is noted for her work on the issue of child labour. Shobha has earlier worked as Dist Project Co-Ordinator in Network of Persons with Disability Organization (NPDO). She is also a Member of NGO ICPS Committee, Family Counseling Member at District level.

 

Known for her contribution to the social field Smt.Shobha has received many awards-  Best Youth Award by Nehru Yuva Kendra Karimnagar, Best Social Worker by STEPCAR in Karimnagar District- 2010, Best NGO Award, by the Government of Telangana - 2014.A specially abled woman who was also victim of child marriage, Smt. Shobhais especially involved in working towards transforming lives of women.

 

Ashok Shyamala, State Treasurer, has been active member of PVCR the state and district level since 2010. He is a gb-ashok.jpgkey resource person and has been building on his strengths by participating in various trainings and capacity building programmes organized by other NGOs. He is credited with being associated with many well known NGOs in various capacities, and has grown from holding field level position to taking responsibilities at the managerial level. He has contributed to studies by NGOs on diverse issues ranging from rural issues, child welfare activities, Education, watersheds, horticulture development, conducting survey on Forest resources and evaluation & assessments of  project planning and feasibility studies. He works with many grass roots level organizations as resource person and trainer in life-basic themes and related issues.

 

 


Ramana Rao, State Vice President, has been working for over over 16 years in the field of Social gb-ramanarao.jpgDevelopment towards upliftment of marginalized communities, empowering women and children . He has been organizing legal awareness programs about legal entitlements of the communities. He is also associated with the NGO, Sphoorthy that works at holistic development of women and young girls. Through Sphoorthy he has been addressing issues related to violation of child rights, elderly abuse and welfare of children and women. The organization also organizes training programmes for women and youth and provides legal and counselling services for families and communities.
